Mi interés principal se centra en el procesamiento del lenguaje escrito y en los fenómenos que se producen en la interfaz sintáctico-semántica. Mi investigación examina los procesos mentales relacionados con el análisis sintáctico y semántico de oraciones en la lengua materna, con el objetivo de identificar patrones cognitivos comunes a todas las lenguas, así como aquellos específicos que varían según las peculiaridades idiosincrásicas de cada idioma. De forma secundaria, también investigo el impacto de la prosodia en el procesamiento de oraciones, ya sea implícita (por ejemplo, mediante el uso de comas) o explícita (a través de variaciones en el ritmo y la duración).Mi investigación integra metodologías experimentales online, como el seguimiento ocular (concretamente, eye-tracking while reading) y las medidas de tiempo de reacción, junto con técnicas offline que examinan procesos menos automáticos y más metacognitivos.
