
Mi principal línea de investigación se centra en la relación entre el lenguaje y la emoción. Estoy interesada en comprender cómo se adquiere y se representa el contenido emocional de las palabras y cómo este contenido afecta el procesamiento del lenguaje. También investigo cómo las diferencias individuales entre los hablantes pueden modular estos efectos. La otra línea central de mi investigación es el bilingüismo, específicamente la organización de la memoria en personas bilingües y el acceso a los conceptos desde las dos lenguas. De la convergencia de estos dos intereses ha surgido una tercera línea de investigación, centrada en el procesamiento del lenguaje emocional en personas bilingües. Tengo una amplia experiencia en la realización de experimentos psicolingüísticos, utilizando diferentes paradigmas experimentales. También he contribuido a la elaboración de bases normativas que recopilan datos de variables afectivas y léxico-semánticas de grandes cantidades de palabras, y que son un recurso muy útil para la selección de estímulos en investigación psicolingüística.
