El meu interès principal se centra en el processament del llenguatge escrit i els fenòmens que es donen a la interfície sintàctico-semàntica. La meva recerca investiga els processos mentals relacionats amb l'anàlisi sintàctica i semàntica de frases en la llengua materna, amb l'objectiu d'identificar patrons cognitius comuns a totes les llengües, així com aquells específics que varien segons les peculiaritats idiosincràtiques de cada idioma. De forma secundària també investigo l'impacte que té la prosòdia en el processament d'oracions, ja sigui implícita (per exemple, mitjançant l'ús de comes) o explícita (a través de variacions en el ritme i la duració). La meva investigació integra metodologies experimentals online, com el seguiment ocular (concretament, eye-tracking while reading) i les mesures de temps de reacció, amb tècniques offline que examinen processos menys automàtics i més metacognitius.
